This is an update to my initial review (see below for first review). Last summer we had our kitchen renovated. As you can imagine we were anxious about the amount of time it would take. We went to see Kelly again for the design and consultation and she reassured us to not stress over this. As with our bathroom designs, the process was very smooth with Kelly and she helped us keep costs down. Sheilagh the PM was very responsive and Michel and the reno crew were efficient, polite and did excellent work. Believe it or now, we had a functioning kitchen after 3 weeks! Thanks to Matt and Sheilagh for daily follow ups. This is the first project we have where we were contacted at the end of each and every day to inform us on the next day’s activities. We are absolutely thrilled with our new kitchen!!! Every time we walk into the room we’re amazed at how beautiful it is, how functional it is and how it’s exactly what we wanted and more!! Thank you to the whole team: Tanya Letourneau’s fantastic design magic, Dominic and Tania Galloway managing the project, Veronica managing the financials and Kim and Dawson and all the other trades people who made the plans a reality that we get to enjoy for many years to come!! DBK did a partial bathroom reno for us several years ago and we loved it and we immediately went to them for our full kitchen reno! We highly recommend DBK!!

I had a great experience with Distinctive Bathrooms and kitchen. From my first meeting with designer Kelly I knew I was in good hands. She listened to my concerns and my style ideas then guided me through the process of picking out all products for my bathroom renovation as well as answering all my construction related questions with confidence. DBK supplied and installed my bathroom on time and within budget. The installers were patient with me when I had questions and took the time to answer thoroughly.

We wanted a one-stop shop to tackle the largest and most stressful renovation we’ve ever done (complete kitchen Reno). DKB was very competitive in costs and coordinated every aspect of the work; design, demo, plumbing, electrical, drywalling, flooring, installation… all of it!

From our first meeting for consultation and subsequent design appointments with Julianna, we knew we made the right choice. Her design was EXACTLY what we had hoped for and needed in a kitchen. We appreciated her time and expert guidance throughout that all important foundational piece of this massive (for us anyways) undertaking.

Job foreman Kim was a phenomenal partner to work with on this as well. Professional, courteous and obviously skilled to no end. He really brought Julianna’s designs to life and did so with an attention to detail that showed just how much pride he takes in his work.

Tania was our coordinator and kept us in the loop in terms of scheduling and what to expect each day, and each week. She also was quick to respond to questions we had or any issues that popped up.

The whole DKB staff are incredible.

We hope to have them back to help us update our three bathrooms one day. Can’t recommend enough.

I already had an idea that Distinctive Bathrooms & Kitchens would make my washroom renovations worthwhile. Sara Akra was extremely helpful. She took time to listen to what I wanted then came to my home and took measurements. She walked me through different styles and materials not only to make my washrooms updated but at a cost that suited my situation. I never felt pressured to do things i didn’t want or could not afford. She has a unique sense of taste and class which was helpful again at a cost I could afford. She even called me to see if I would be interested in a vanity that was on clearance that ended up saving me money. So if you want a great sales lady with style see Sara Akra. Then the crew. What can I say Etienne came on time every morning did his job asked me questions when he wasn’t sure exactly how I wanted something which was great He never assumed. He would clean up everyday and worked hard every day. Great guy. Manny the plumber was awesome. He too came did his job and calmly worked all day. Mr McMaster the electrician was also a great guy. Did his job well too. Sonny would deliver the items and pick up all the garbage. There were other crew members too who contributed and I appreciated them too . They were done faster than they were supposed to be done and we are so happy about our powder room and main upstairs washroom which is so beautiful and updated. I feel like im in a hotel room. They even took out an old hair dresser sink in the basement and installed a laundry tub i had bought recommended by Sara. I recommend you buy lights at home depot as they do not sell them. If you’re going to buy light at multi luminaires beware that they may take 2 weeks to ship your order so get lightning at home depot. The electrician installed a new pot light in the powder room which looks so nice. All in all I am so happy as is my daughter and wife. We used DBK to replace our old, ugly tub with a beautiful new shower. We also had them redo the tile on the floor. We were very happy with the process from the design work done by the talented Sara to the finishing/tidyiing details done by Charles. Simon did a fantastic job of keeping us up to date on what was happening next. Kudos to O’Reilly (Asbestos abatement), Dan, Manny, Michael and especially Charles. A great group of hardworkers. This has been one of the best run projects that I have ever been a part of. We highly recommend using them!

We had our ensuite bathroom renovated. DBK did an amazing job. Excellent workmanship and well coordinated throughout the project. Friendly, courteous and very clean after each work day. Great Company to deal with. Highly recommend them you won’t be disappointed. Dennis and Debbie Charette.

Recently had a tub to shower conversion and we were very happy with the entire process and the completed work. We initially dealt with Kelly who we found to be very knowledgeable and helpful and who did an excellent job of helping us to choose and get started with the project. There was regular communication regarding job scheduling and everything happened when it was supposed to, and the way we wanted. The workers did a great job and communicated exactly what they were going to do each day. Without question we would use them again. Based on our experience I would highly recommend this company.
